John Simms’ Light Trails ‘Trip Into The Light Fantastic’ STG 719 (2023)

Clear Blue Sky: Gateway to the Seventh Dimension STG 707

Entirely original, self penned songs, this album represents the studio album the band always wanted to create. A blend of progressive, blues, space, fusion and more, it showcases Clear Blue Sky’s resistance to being categorised. This is the most spiritual of the band’s offerings, sashaying between the light and the darkness, and each song telling a story and taking the listener on a musical journey. Artwork by world renowned artist John Pitre.

John Simms’ Light Trails ‘Chromatology’
STG 718

Clear Blue Sky’s band leader and guitarist has at last issued a solo album. As you would expect, it is composed of entirely original songs and musical landscapes, and also blends many genres into the compositions. Progressive, fusion, heavy rock, jazz, melody, space are some of the elements within but by no means all. Fittingly, John entitled the album ‘Chromatology’, which is an invented word meaning ‘the colour of music’, since John has always blended all kinds of musical light and shade, tints and hues. Presented as a CD in vinyl style with card sleeve wallet. Features Ohead, Tim Jones and Maxine Marten.

We are delighted to announce that John Simms’ Light Trails ‘Chromatology’ new album is now available in Japan and related territories via HMV, Tower Records & many more outlets.
